The IAU WHED Portal is the International Association of Universities' unique online reference tool that provides comprehensive and detailed information on Higher Education Systems and Credentials (in 186 countries) and Institutions (more than 18,400) around the world. Regular updates include data received from higher education authorities and IAU Members.

The IAU secretariat receives and updates information in the WHED Portal on an ongoing basis focusing each year on one specific region or geographical area. The main focus in 2018 is Asia and the Middle East. This is an ongoing task.
