How to import the citation of an article to my EndNote Web?
I have an article in my computer drive but the information is not upload in my EndNote web. How can I insert the citation of this article in my document?
Answer
There are two ways to accomplish this task:
- Use Scholar:
- Search the article's title in Google Scholar database
- Click the link "Cite" underneath the article's description and choose the "EndNote" link
- Download the information to a file in your desktop and then upload it manually to EndNote Web. Assign it to your preferred folder
- Now you can search the article's information in your text editor EndNote plugin
- install the EndNote "Capture Reference" tool in your browser:
- Login to your account in EndNote Web and go to "Downloads" in the upper menu
- Make sure your bookmark's bar is visible in your browser
- Drag and drop the "Capture Reference" button from the page to the bookmarks bar
- Now you can go to the original page of the journal where you found the article or to Google Scholar and press the button every time you want to save the information in your EndNote Web.
